Filling in your Simple Machines Comparison Excel Spreadsheet.

1. Open up your saved Excel spreadsheet from last week or open up a new one (See below)
 > To open a new spreadsheet, please CLICK on the picture of THE ROBOT at right and-

2. A dialog box pops up. CHOOSE "Open" as your choice.
> IF you don't see this pop-up box and a Word document shows itself, just press the BACK button then
> RIGHT-CLICK on the picture of the robot at right and choose
 "SAVE TARGET AS" from you choices. Then-

3. You can type information into this Excel document while it is in your browser. Make sure you SAVE IT by choosing "FILE", "SAVE AS". A new window will appear that will allow you to name this Excel Document and SAVE IT to your local computer OR the NETWORK FOLDER if one has already been made for you.
> Name it "YOUR_NAME Table of Simple Machines"
> Example- Sara Miguel would name it "Sara Miguel Table of Simple Machines"
> Check the location of where this file will be saved. IT could be a spot called MY DOCUMENTS OR a NETWORK FOLDER. Your local instructor will tell you which spot to save it to.
> Choose "SAVE" and hit ENTER if the location of where the file will be saved is OK.

4. We'll now add HEADERS & FOOTERS to this EXCEL DOCUMENT.

5. You are now ready to fill in the Simple Machines Table by using the Web Sites below! Keep it open so you can type into it as you work.

  •  When you finished filling in the Planetary Comparison Table or your instructor tells that time is up, make sure you SAVE the WORD DOCUMENT AGAIN!

(I) Check Spelling & Grammar,
(II) Use Headers & Footers,
& (III) Save Your Work In The Proper Network Server Basic Machines Folder.
