Assignment:Build a Basic Speaker- see details

Using your Gosney speaker template, build a basic speaker. Audio test signals must arrive at your copper coil via alligator clips. Magnets and copper wire will be provided for you.

Bring in your first draft design on Thursday, 12-15, for a "test drive". Final Speaker testing will be on Friday, 12-16.

A sweep generator will drive your speaker from 20-20,000 Hz. A decibel meter at a standard height above the cone will measure output or response.

A music clip will also be played through the speaker to determine how well both treble and bass are handled, and how crisp the response of your cone is.
